Rangat’s public protest to stop arbitrary of Mantena Vasista on construction of NH4

Newly elected Rangat PRI’s are in action, On 26/03/2022 morning near about 9:30 AM, large numbers of inhabitants of Rangat and nearby villagers were gathered along with the newly elected PRI’s, Shri Tapas Roy (Zilla Parishad Member), Smti. Laxmi (Pradhan GP Rangat), Smti Rupa Rani Halder (Pradhan GP Dasarathpur), Shri Sujit Mistry (Pradhan GP Nimbutala), Shri. Ashok Hawlader (Zilla Parishad member of Sabari) and other Political leaders with large number of public have jointly protested against the NH Contractor namely M/S Mantena Vasista JV.

Public had stopped their heavy truck in anger which is carrying hot bitumen for other area NH4 construction. They were regularly transporting the truck with material between of Rangat bazaar for other area road construction. The Condition of the road starting from Rangat Bazar to Fire Brigade Colony is in dilapidated condition since last two years and the said contractor has failed to complete the work but they were passing our materials by same pathetic road for other area road construction.

The residents and shop owners are restless due to the dust emission from the said dilapidated condition of road in and which also may cause serious road accidents. The frustration and anger of the people has been observed today and as a result of it, the Project Manager of the said contractor has given an official undertaking in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Dr. Nitin Shakya (DANICS) and Station House Officer of Rangat Police Station. The Zilla Parishad of Rangat Shri Tapas Roy with other leaders expressed his gratitude towards the Assistant Commissioner and Police officials for their timely interference in this public agitation and assured starting of road work within 02/04/2022 from the contractors’ side by obtaining written undertaking.
