Dated 21 June 2023, The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated across the world annually on June 21 since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India. The idea of observing International Yoga Day was proposed by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2014. The practice of Yoga brings joy, health, peace from within and deepens a sense of connection between an individual’s inner consciousness and the external world. In this occasion today 21 June 2023 whole Andaman Celebrated 9th International Yoga day, even in North and Middle Andaman too. Yoga Day was observed by JNV School Panchawati at the auditorium of the School in Presence of the Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Shivapuram Shri Venkateswar Rao, Dr Abida CHC Rangat and Smti. Jolly Vincent Principal.

The Yoga was Demonstrated to the locals by Miss Komal Solanghi (Yoga Instructor) the theme of the Yoga was Vasudhaivan Kutumbukam the Whole event took place under Gram Panchayat Shivapuram.
